Description

Easy and flavorful pesto burger for a delicious grilled dinner. 


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 cups of basil cleaned and squeezed dry
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (Affiliate Link) or more
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup DF parmigiana cheese
  • Optional Toppings and Additions: Tomatoes, Lettuce, Bun, and extra Pesto.

Instructions

  1. Measure out all the ingredients.
  2. Then, clean the basil, then squeeze it dry to remove excess water. Add basil to a blender or food processor.
  3. Next, add walnuts, garlic, salt, pepper, and DF parmigiana, and lemon juice. Add the olive oil (Affiliate Link) slowly until mixed. Scrape down the sides and mix again until turned into a loose paste. **You may need more olive oil (Affiliate Link).
  4. In a large bowl, scoop out 1/4-1/2 of the pesto and mix it with the ground beef. Make 4 burgers and place them on a plate. Store the rest in a container with a lid in the fridge for later.
  5. Heat the large skillet until hot and add the olive oil (Affiliate Link) slowly. Then add the burgers to medium-high heat. This recipe makes 4 1/4 lb burgers.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes then gently turn for 10 minutes.
