At the holidays, we all get these great holiday picture cards with the senders'' kids and family on them in their cute outfits and great smiles. Each year, I always wonder what should I do with these smiling faces. I don't want to throw them in the trash nor do I want to clutter up the home with cards. So, this year, I decided to write a post on some great ideas I found to repurpose holiday picture cards after the holidays. Here we go.
Holiday Picture Repurposed
Use your phone's camera and take photos of each of your contacts kids and use it as a face for their contact information. Below are the instructions to do this with your iPhone.
Cut out the pictures and create a Christmas Ornament for next year. I purchased these clear ornaments at a nearby craft store for $1.00 each. Then you can decoupage the back with the pictures and let it dry. If you have lots of photos on a particular holiday picture card, create an ornament for that particular person and give it to them the following holiday year.
Create bookmarks with all the small pictures for yourself or give it to the family. I cut out the smaller pictures and displayed them diagonally on a piece of card stock.
Create a collage of photos and place it on a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and hang on your refrigerator or frame and display. If the pictures are large enough and are a 5 x 7 size, frame the picture card in its own frame to view all year around.
Any one of these ideas will help you repurpose those holiday picture cards after the holidays and it will remove the clutter because you will be keeping the pictures and not the rest of the cards. As a result, you will feel less guilty about throwing away the scraps. Let me know what you do to repurpose your holiday picture cards.
