Description
A very spicy chili that is low carb, too!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef organic
- 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 1 can of mild diced tomatoes and green chilies
- 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies fire-roasted
- 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies chunky
- 1 can of Tostitos chunky salsa medium
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon of salt Himalayan styles
- 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
- 1.5 tablespoon of chili powder (Affiliate Link)
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of oregano dried
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Instructions
- Add oil to Dutch oven (Affiliate Link). Heat for 1 minute.
- Add pepper and onion and cook till translucent 2-6 minutes. Remove and set aside on a plate.
- Add a little more coconut oil if the pan is dry. Add ground beef and brown six minutes. Add salt pepper and red pepper flakes, drain excess liquid if you want. If you don't want to use the red pepper flakes, you can remove them altogether. Set aside.
- Add to slow cooker (Affiliate Link) peppers and onions, salsa, diced tomatoes and rest of herbs and spices (Affiliate Link). Then add meat on top. Then mix well. A little bit of liquid is good. Cook for 5 hours on low. Let sit on warm.
