Description

This is an easy and hardy recipe for the slow cooker (Affiliate Link).


Ingredients

  • 3 cloves of Garlic minced
  • 1/8 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • 4 cups of bone broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 1/2 cup of uncooked brown rice
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 large can (32 oz) of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 2 cans (15 oz) of Black beans

Instructions

  1. Place the garlic and red pepper flakes in the bottom of the slow cooker (Affiliate Link).
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except for the black beans and mix well.
  3. Cook on high for 3 - 4 hours or until rice is done.
  4. Then, add the black beans and cook for another 1/2 hour.
  5. Serve with grated parmesan or romano cheese. Eat warm.
