How to Create a Baking Zone with a Baking Tools List

Last Modified: June 4, 2025 Sabrina Quairoli This blog uses cookies. It also has affiliate links. We earn sponsored content income.

If you are like me, you become the baking expert this time of the year. Pull out all the cookie sheets (affiliate link), baking supplies, and tools (affiliate link) you need for the holiday's  "Big Bake-off" or "Cookie Swap." This is the second part of creating a baking zone area for your baking needs. We discussed going through the baking supplies, and I provided a checklist (affiliate link) for you to use: CREATE A COMPLETE BAKING SUPPLIES ZONE WITH THIS CHECKLIST AND TIPS

  • Questions to ask when going through your baking tools.
  • The Complete List of Tools You Need in Your Baking Zone

And now, it's the best time to go through the baking tools (affiliate link) in your kitchen. To make this process easier, I created a holiday baking tools (affiliate link) list below.  Print the list out and pull out every baking tool you have.  Look at them carefully and check them off the list below. While you are looking through your baking tools (affiliate link), why not clear the clutter of items you don't use too?

Questions to ask when going through your baking tools.

Here are some questions to ask yourself while going through your baking tools (affiliate link):

  • Do you need to replace any of your rusted tools?
  • Are disposable tools needed this year?
  • Do any of the baking tools need replacing?
  • What did you use up the last time you baked?
  • Am I missing icing?
  • Are you missing spices (affiliate link)?

I didn't include items like pizzelle irons, piping bags, and other unique baking tools in the list. Instead, I added rows so you can add your customized baking tools.

The Complete List of Tools You Need in Your Baking Zone

  • Assorted cookie cutters
  • Pie plates.
  • Ramekins/soufflé dish.
  • Oven mitts
  • Aluminum foil
  • Parchment baking paper
  • Waxed paper
  • Plastic cling wrap
  • Flavorings and extracts
  • Whisks
  • Rubber Spatula
  • A kitchen timer
  • Dry ingredients measuring cups (affiliate link)
  • Wet ingredients measuring cups (affiliate link)
  • Measuring spoons (affiliate link)
  • Mixing bowls: Sizes: small to large
  • Metal cake testers
  • Cooling Racks
  • Rolling pins
  • Wood or marble pastry board
  • Pastry bags
  • Flour sifter

After you have gone through your baking tools, it's time to schedule when you are going to go to pick up the missing items.  Look for online coupons to help reduce the costs of the supplies. Then, of course, schedule time for baking. Break up the different activities over a few days or a marathon day of baking.  Get everyone involved if you have family members in your home.  They will love it.  What type of cookies do you like to bake during the holidays?  Please leave a message below.
