When giving gifts to a family member or friend during the holidays or for someone to say "Happy birthday, "Thank you," or "Congratulations," we like to wrap the presents either with a decorative gift bag or pretty wrapping paper. Have A Variety of Gift Bags
First, you should have all different sizes of gift bags. The medium size is most useful, but having a few small and large ones is important, too. Include a few wine bags if you tend to give wine bottles as gifts. Below are gift bags I found on Amazon (Affiliate Link).com (affiliate).
A Variation of Wrapping Paper Rolls
Do you like to wrap presents? If so, having a variety of wrapping paper works nicely in a wrapping gifts area. Pick different types of wrapping paper patterns. If you shop often for men, you may want wrapping paper colors that would match their personalities. If you shop more for women, you may want to buy some variety that is more like them. NOTE: Buying too large of a roll, you may keep it FOREVER. So, pick smaller rolls so you can use them for one or two people instead of years of presents.
A Variety of Ribbons in a lot of Colors
If you like to tie your bags or create beautiful bows, you need the right ribbons (Affiliate Link). You can pick ones that are fabric, paper, or plastic. You can also choose different patterns. Greeting Cards Organizer Section
Greeting cards (Affiliate Link) usually accompany gifts. So, a stash of greeting cards (Affiliate Link) will help you quickly wrap and create gifts.

Greeting Cards Events Labels for Vinyl Cutting - This one is the vinyl lettering "Events A-I" and "Events J - Z" if you want to use them.
Greeting Card Dividers Cut with Labels Printing - They include the following event labels (Affiliate Link) for reach event tab: Blank Cards, Baby, Birthday, Congrats, Get Well, Sympathy, Thank You, Thinking of You, and Wedding Anniversary.
And don't forget to include the envelopes with the greeting cards (Affiliate Link). You can lay the envelope inside the greeting card so you can still see the cards when picking one to send to someone.

Include a tools area to hold small things you need to wrap presents.

I am the world's worst wrapper. If it's not perfectly rectangular, it's getting put in a gift bag with a poof of tissue paper on top, and we're calling it a day. However, your ideas are all organizer-approved, as I know from setting up these systems for clients how much difference it makes in the smooth running of special events-related activities.
FWIW, my mother always wrapped presents for (other families') kids with one standard gender-non-specific wrapping paper and then taped candy (like Tootsie Rolls and SweetTarts) instead of bows and ribbons. I'm not sure how much the parents like that, but other kids always wanted presents wrapped by my mom!

This is great, Sabrina!. I use a chest of drawers for my gift wrap. One drawer holds a variety of ribbon, one the gift bags and tissue paper. another drawer holds tools. Then the two large drawers hold the wrapping paper - one is for any occasion, the other for Christmas. I have a small box in my office for cards. I love the way you have them divided by topic. I may have to do that next!

Gift wrapping is one of my happy places. I find it’s such an easy way to get creative. I loved your ideas and all the different supplies found on Amazon. It’s smart to have some on hand, especially for last minute gift wrapping.
I also like having a stock of assorted gift bags and tissue paper for a a quick wrap. It saved the day on Saturday when one of the bags ripped and I was able to grab another.

This is one of those projects that, once established, makes you feel like a superhero. Being able to easily wrap a gift is such a wonderful feeling! I'm glad you mentioned having the tools nearby. Nobody wants to run around and try to hunt down the scissors. Just dedicate a pair, and a pen and roll of tape, to this area. Label the scissors if need be to ensure they don't walk off to other areas!!

I LOVE wrapping presents! It's such a fun and colorful thing to do. I've simplified over the years and organized all the supplies into an Elfa drawer system, plus a standing container for rolls of wrapping paper. I remember one time around the holidays. I showed up for a client appointment, and she started apologizing. We were going to organize in her closet that day. But instead, she was way behind on her holiday wrapping and asked if I'd be willing to help her wrap the presents. I was thrilled and loved every minute.

I find gift bags more practical because they're easy to store and reusable, but we're starting to gravitate back to gift wrap because it's more fun for young children (i.e. our grandchildren) to open, and it's easier to take a bunch of wrapped presents to someone else's house then a bunch of gift bags.
I keep all of it in my office closet, except for Christmas-specific stuff, which gets stored with the decorations.
