Spring is in the air. Everyone is opening the windows and letting the fresh air in. And we are all getting the itch to declutter and clear out the dust in our rooms from the winter months. Spring cleaning is a time to take action to clear those unwanted things and dust under areas that haven’t been looked at since last fall. Today, I am going to share my many posts about spring cleaning to hopefully motivate you to make some plans and get those chores in order.

Remember, before spring cleaning your home, remove any unwanted clutter you may not want. Clearing out the cluttered closets, under the bathroom sinks (Affiliate Link), in basements, in the garage (Affiliate Link), and in attics is a great place to start. Below are some posts to help you declutter.

HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOMIZED SPRING CLEANING CHECKLIST

We shared this post to help readers create their very own checklists (Affiliate Link). You can even see mine and my grill cleaning checklist (Affiliate Link). I made this post because I would ALWAYS forget to visit something in my home while doing this task each year.

30 DAYS SPRING CLEANING CHALLENGE

If you don't feel motivated to do deep cleaning in your home, this post is for you! This post shares a 30-day spring cleaning challenge you can use just in time for April! It is broken down into five areas, the home, and car, to make it easy to go through the daily activities and finish the month with a house and car that is cleaned and ready for the summer.

HOW TO COMPLETE AN EFFECTIVE SPRING CLEANING PROCESS

Lastly, this post talks about what it is, where to start in your home, when, and how to get these areas cleaned out. We also talk about unique chores to do when cleaning.

I hope these posts help motivate you to take on this task in your home. You will appreciate it. The air in your home will be fresher. And, as a result, you will feel better about where you live. Just be patient and do a little at a time to keep moving forward, clearing out, and cleaning up your life.

I love the checklist. Great way to stay on track. I love cleaning out and organizing outdoor spaces in the Spring because I'm so eager to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather. My biggest challenge is dealing with the pollen in Spring. !. the clean-up seems endless. 2. I'm allergic so I pay for my time outside. This year I'm going to try wearing a mask. I think it will help my allergies.

Cleaning is a funny thing. Some people hate it, feeling like it is too much work. Some people love it because you can see instant results, a shiny floor, windows or furniture. Some people find it irritating to have to do all the work themselves and others find it calming to not have to think or concentrate to get the job done. The trick is to use the plan that works best for you. I do a little at a time and stay on top of it instead of doing a big cleaning once or twice a year.

This post just makes me want to hire a maid! Luckily, I don't have the vast majority of spaces you describe (and none of the outdoor ones), but now my ceiling fan is calling me...as is that microfiber mop!

What great lists and suggestions to get our homes spring-ready! I am actually looking forward to doing some deeper cleaning, especially outside. I'll be bringing out the power washer soon. It's so much fun to use. And on a hot day, what could be better than playing with water while cleaning!

Oof. When I look at that list it can feel a bit overwhelming. I think the secret sauce is to follow your challenge and do a little bit each day.

My grill is in such sad shape I think it may be time to just start over LOL!

These are fabulous articles with lots of great tips. I particularly like your checklists. I am a fan of being able to cross something off a list. It helps me know what to do now and what to do next.

We are very tidy and have cleaners come in on a regular basis, so I must confess that I haven't really thought about spring cleaning in a very long time. You've not only inspired me to look at areas that probably need a more thorough cleaning, but provided tips and a framework - thank you, Sabrina!
