Easy Italian Sloppy Joes Recipe

Making weeknight meals should be easy and quick but also healthy. One-pan meals are super easy. Not to mention the cleanup is minimal. This week's weeknight recipe is a spin on the sloppy joe using Italian ingredients. Follow along and try our easy Italian Sloppy Joes recipe for yourself.

Some notes on this recipe. You can easily change it to ground turkey if you prefer that. If you want it spicier, add ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes instead of ⅛ tsp.

What ingredients are in an easy Italian Sloppy Joes recipe?

1 lb of ground beef
1 red pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
2 cups of homemade tomato sauce or bought sauce with or without chunks
3 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon Italian herbs mix
3 garlic cloves minced
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
A quarter teaspoon of pepper black
4 potato hamburger rolls
Optional: 4 slices of Provolone Cheese

Doesn't it look yummy? My family really enjoyed it and it was great as leftovers too. We added more red pepper flakes so it was a bit spicier but delicious.
