Hand pies are a wonderful treat for everyone in your home. Not only do they taste delicious, but they are also easy to make. They can be made during the week and even on holidays for a celebratory dessert. This Cherry Hand Pie recipe used a premade pie crust, but if you wish to make your own, you will be able to use this recipe with that crust as well.

If you want to fold the crust to seal the edges instead of using a fork, make the circle a little bigger by using a 6-inch circle cookie cutter. I found that I had a little spill of the filling just using the fork.
Cherry Hand Pie Recipe Ingredients:
1 pre-made pie crust
10 tablespoon of Cherry pie filling
3-4 tablespoon white sugar crystals
2-3 tablespoon red sugar crystals
1 egg
2 tablespoon milk 2%
Cherry Hand Pie Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Now, roll out the pie crust.
Now, use a 5 to 6-inch circle cutter and make 4 circles. Remove the access and roll out again and make one more. One pie crust makes a total of 5 hand pies.
Then, add two tablespoons on one side in each circle.
Fold in half, seal with a little water, and press a fork down to create a firm top and bottom edge. Poke the tops of the pies with the fork a few times.
Mix 1 egg with 2 tablespoon milk.
Now, coat the top of each pie with a brush and add as many white and red sugar crystals as you like.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is baked.
Remove and let cool for at least 25 minutes then serve.

Doesn't it look delicious? It didn't last long in my home. The fact that it only made five was nice because we didn't feel like we overrated them. It's always great when you can watch your waistline and eliminate food waste.
