Quick Grilled Dijon Chicken Breast Recipe - featured image

Are you a fan of Freezer Meals? They are a great way to eat better with less time during the week in the kitchen. Freezer meals are great for during the school year, in the summer when you don't want to cook, pretty much all year round. Today, I share a freezer meal that you can easily put together, freeze, and when you are ready, defrost and grill in less than 30 minutes! This recipe is larger and will probably make 8 servings but can be used as leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day.

Now that all the ingredients are measured out and gathered together, do the following steps.

How to Make a Grilled Dijon Chicken Breast Recipe?

Add all ingredients to a bowl.

Place all the ingredients in a large bowl if you are going to cook it tonight. If not, place all ingredients into a freezer gallon bag.

Chicken Breast and herbs mixed in bowl

If you are freezing it, remove the air from the bag, roll it up, and seal it tight. It should look flat, and there is no air in the bag.

If you are going to cook it later, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for later. Marinate for at least 1-2 hours but can go as long as 8 or 9 hours.

Defrost the gallon bag from the freezer on a plate. Or remove the bowl from the refrigerator and let it sit for a few minutes.

Preheat the grill.

Remove the chicken from the marinating place and add to a hot clean grill. Adjust the temperature down to medium indirect heat of possible on your grill. Discard the marinade.

Cook the chicken breast on a hot cleaned grill.

Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on one side and then turn it over for 5-7 minutes on the other side.

Remove from the grill and serve.

I made some bacon wrapped asparagus for the side. (see image below).

So you just freeze it in the marinade? What a "cool" idea! 😉

Yes, I read a book about freezer meals, and they recommend doing this so while the marinade and meat defrost, it continues to marinade. It works well. Try it!

I bet a lot of mom's are going to love your freezer meals. When school starts back in session these would be really super helpful on hectic nights.
