When growing up, I had my fair share of broccoli rabe. It is a little bitter, but if you buy it in season, you will see why Italians love broccoli rabe. This Sausage and Broccoli Rabe recipe is one I modified from my mom's version. It's delicious on quinoa or rice, or even pasta.

Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Recipe Ingredients
1 - 1 ½ lb Pork or Turkey Sausage
One bunch of Broccoli Rabe (chop is smaller pieces and remove stems)
3 Garlic Cloves
2 tablespoon Olive Oil (Affiliate Link)
One teaspoon Red Pepper
Serve with pasta, couscous, rice or quinoa
Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Recipe Instructions
Heat the olive oil (Affiliate Link) and garlic, and red pepper.
Brown the sausage.
Then, take it out and cut it into 1-inch pieces for 10 minutes and stir it often.
Add the broccoli rabe for 14 minutes. Stir the broccoli rabe and sausages until the broccoli rabe is tender. (You will know when the stems and squeeze with tongs.)

Here are the cooked broccoli rabe and sausage. Doesn't it look great? Now, what to put it on?
I added mine to the top to prepare quinoa, but you can add it to pasta, Gluten Free pasta, couscous, or rice. It was delicious!
