How to Create a Kate Spade Bridal Shower Dessert Bar

Last Modified: April 2, 2024 Sabrina Quairoli This blog uses cookies. It also has affiliate links. We earn sponsored content income.

I recently did a bridal shower for my niece, and the theme was Kate Spade Bridal Shower. While other people were responsible for the decoration and meals, I was responsible for the dessert bar. And what a dessert bar it was! Here are my recipes to create this fantastic Kate Spade Bridal Shower Dessert Bar. I found finger foods that didn't need forks worked great because guests could pick up an item or two to eat while walking by. We used a lot of the cupcake liners to allow people to take one without touching too many of the dessert items.

Kate Spade Bridal Shower Dessert Bar

First, I created the menu and shared it with the other bridesmaids to ensure they liked the dessert collection.

Peach and Apple Roses:

I found this recipe online, and there were many variations. They were very easy to make and look gorgeous. A little clear sugar crystals sprinkled on top worked nicely to finish off the dish.

Apple and Cherry Mini Pie Flowers:

I made these mini pies desserts with pie crust and apple and cherry pie filling. Then, I added confectioner sugar to the top. This recipe was great for the guests who didn't want to overeat sweet food. Here's the recipe I posted recently.

Mini Donut Rings:

I also made this Kate Spade Bridal Shower Dessert Bar with these mini donut rings. These were so easy to make, and I enjoyed them. To keep the Mini Donut up, we added mini cupcake liners. This simple recipe was wonderful, and I was so happy.  We ended up not using the party paper and went back to the pink cardstock because they glued better to the flat toothpicks.

Mini Cannolis:

The bride loved Mini Cannolis, so we ordered them from a nearby store, Wegmans.

Gluten-Free / Dairy-Free cake:

Another thing we added to this Kate Spade Bridal Shower Dessert Bar is a small gluten-free and dairy-free cake. This cake was for people who can't have gluten, like us. There was indeed something for everyone at this dessert bar. Be sure to make it special for even the people who have food intolerances.

Homemade dairy-free sugar cookies with the letter of the bride on them:

We tried to make the beautiful Kate Spade cookies, but alas, we failed. So instead, we just did black-and-white cookies and wrote the letter D for the bride on them. They worked out great, and everyone enjoyed them. I found that being dairy intolerant, the dessert bar is usually a place I can't go. Sigh. So, to give people with an issue with dairy, like me, a sweet treat, I made these dairy free cookies.

Decorative Bride-to-be Cake:

And a regular cake, of course. The Matron of Honor designed this cake. It was gorgeous. It was a popular choice for this bridal shower dessert table.

And don't forget the little food signs. Indicate if they are gluten-free or dairy-free.  One of the bridesmaids found these place cardholders, and they worked wonderfully.

Craft Supplies to make the Tasty Dessert Bar Sign

I made the dessert bar sign out of things I had in my home and my craft area.

Old Gold Frame
Cricut Machine (Affiliate Link) Vinyl (gold) lettering (Amazon (Affiliate Link) Affiliate link)
3M Chalk Tape (Amazon (Affiliate Link) Affiliate link)
Foam Core Board to fit the Frame (Amazon (Affiliate Link) Affiliate link)

How to make the dessert bar sign

I used an old frame and my Cricut machine (Affiliate Link) to make the picture frame and added it to the foam core board. Then, added the words to the foam core board. I used the 3M chalk tape (Amazon (Affiliate Link) affiliate link) I had and covered the edges of the foam core board to give it a border. Then, I taped the 3M chalk tape around the frame to cover up all the gold. It worked out nicely and enhanced the black edge. Since the bride loves rose gold, I bought a rose gold runner and hung it around the frame, and then at the end of the party, I gave it to her as a gift. She loved it.

Additional information

If you are wondering about the runner, I bought an extra-long tablecloth with black strips (Amazon (Affiliate Link) affiliate link) and cut them into strips of seven lines. I was able to make five runners for the buffet, mimosa bar, and food tables. Since they were extra-long tables, we needed to overlap the runners.

To cover the front of the bar, we used a long, plastic black tablecloth (Affiliate Link) from the dollar store.
