Buying anything for my husband is very difficult for a couple of reasons. First, he pretty much buys himself whatever he wants:) Secondly, he is very busy and doesn't have time to enjoy many things. This year I got him a pair of All Birds, which have come highly recommended. Clothes seem to be a gift with him because he doesn't enjoy shopping, and thus is happy to have it done for him! Great to avoid buying small things that end up being clutter later.

Thank you for this list, I will share it with my followers. You're so right, spending time together is so much more important than stuff!

Gifts of time, not stuff are the best! My husband is a train buff, and last year I gave him a gift certificate to go to a train museum together. Another time, I arranged for a train ride to a town north of us, and then we had lunch and explored the village together. This year, there were a few thing-things he wanted, so he'll be getting some real stuff. We're saving the time-related gift for our anniversary.

Thanks for the list. I am trying to find a gift idea. I think I'll get my husband's car detailed. He'll like that.
Sabrina Quairoli
That's a great idea. He will probably love it.

My husband and I used to sometimes take our dads out for fish and chips. They enjoyed the food and each other's company.
