How to Make a Standing Scrapbooking Station

Last Modified: May 9, 2025 Sabrina Quairoli This blog uses cookies. It also has affiliate links. We earn sponsored content income.

Standing Desks are super easy to use and great for your back. But, how about standing scrapbooking stations? You don't need to sit all the time. Check out how I made my standing scrapbook (Affiliate Link) station. Follow along and check out my story (Affiliate Link).

You saw (Affiliate Link) my biggest chalk paint project previously. If you missed it, here it is again: Chalk Paint Armoire DIY Project Tutorial. I wanted to share with you what I am using this armoire for: a standing scrapbooking station. Follow along to make your own standing scrapbooking station.

Pick Out Your Favorite Wallpaper

I used Brewster Home Fashions NuWallpaper(TM) Wall POPS! (affiliate) to cover the back inside of the armoire and the doors. It was called "Suzani". There are many patterns, though, you can find.  This one matches nicely with my gray paint.

I also went to my nearby wholesale store and found various stacking fabric boxes (Affiliate Link).  I used several of them to store papers and other supplies.

Make Your Sticker Holder

The following standing scrapbooking station tip is to get something to hold the stickers you use most often. I made this to hold all my decorative tape.  It consists of a foot from a sofa I bought on sale years ago and a dowel. My husband and I made this in 15 minutes.  We drilled the hole the same size as the screw in the foot and then glued and screwed the dowel into the foot.  Then we spray-painted it and let it dry. Here's the finished product. What do you think?

Divide Up The Stickers Into Categories

I found great plastic-handled bins to organize my scrapbooking stickers on sale at a nearby fabric store.  Since I love stickers, they need to be organized. I get so frustrated when they are hard to find. So to resolve this issue, I divided it into 6 different categories: Words, Numbers, Letters, Vacation, School, and Holiday. Reducing the amount of searching has saved me so much time.

Store Scrapbook sheets upright

I also like to put all the scrapbook (Affiliate Link) papers upright to help me see what I have.  For the other sizes, I stored them in boxes (Affiliate Link) to keep them clear of dust since I do not use them as much.

Scrapbook Workstation

Here is the workstation area and where I place all by working pages. Laying them down in this area allows me to easily close the door and hide it away when the company is coming over. It's enough room so I can lay out my scrapbook (Affiliate Link) page and work on it one at a time.  And, when I am done for the day, I can close the doors. Woo hoo!

Scrapbooking Tips

If you are looking for tips on scrapbooking, check out my post: Scrapbook Organizing Tips. Here is how I created the various folders and organized the papers in my scrapbook (Affiliate Link) zone.

I hope this inspires you to make your standing scrapbooking station. If you do not do scrapbooking, it may be an option for your sewing things. Visit our sewing organization tips here.

Sabrina, I'm not a scrapbooker but 3 of my sisters and numerous nieces are so I'll be sharing this with them. Right now I think they keep everything in tubs so this will be a nice change.

My daughter needs this in her life! She has a creative streak and is always drawing, painting or building. As a results pens, paints and pencils are stored in several locations in our home. One central point would be ideal. Cellotape always goes missing usually when I require it to wrap a gift!

Afraid I have to join the trend here, I'm not a scrapbooker either. But I always enjoy your tips on organizing Sabrina and I'm happy to share because I know that many other people are avid scrapbookers. Thanks for the inspiration!

Excellent idea. Am not scrapbooking in a general sense just when it comes to my academic studies. Save all the documents that I believe could possiibly one day come in handy. Have piles of them and have to find a way of organising them your way that fits into my apartment.

I'm not a scrapbooker, my sister-in-law and some of her friends love doing it, so I'm sharing this post with them. Beautiful interior to your cabinet, Sabrina.

I have never done scrapbooking. I love what you've done to create your space for it though.
