Homemade Gluten Free Cauliflower Tot Recipe - featuredimage

This week's recipe is a little different! I decided to do a low carb cauliflower recipe. The Cauliflower tots are super tasty and easy to make. Follow along and see how I made these gluten free cauliflower tots.

There are some things you need to know about this recipe:

The important thing when making these tots is to squeeze the excess liquid out of the cauliflower puree.

They should be eaten when warm and are better with the sauce I indicated below. However, my husband used sour cream with his and he enjoyed that as well.

What ingredients are in these homemade gluten free cauliflower tots?

1 cauliflower head - cut into florets and remove the center.
1 egg
¼ cup Romano grated
½ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
¼ cup almond flour
Nonstick spray
¼ cup Mexican shredded cheese
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon granulated garlic

Transfer cauliflower purée to a bowl and add the paprika, garlic, salt, pepper, egg, Romano grated cheese, Mexican shredded cheese and mix well. Let it cool to the touch.

mix the pressed cauliflower with the other ingredients

Spray the nonstick spray on the air fryer rack.

Use a teaspoon and scoop out the cauliflower mixture and roll in a ball to combine, they roll into a tube and press the top and bottom of the tube shape. This will form your tot. Continue until you make 24 or more cauliflower tots and add to the greased air fryer rack.

Note: if you decide to make them smaller, it will take less time so adjust as needed.

Add the cauliflower tray to the air fryer, 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with sugar free ketchup and sriracha sauce.

Tip: They may stick a little bit when they come out. Use a metal spatula and slide below the tot so they can release without breaking apart.
