Awesome KitchenAid Mixer Attachments

In a recent post, I talked about Multipurpose gifts.  I mentioned this KitchenAid Mixer. This is great for your favorite bakers or home cooks. KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Stand Mixer with Pouring Shield, 5 Quarts, Empire Red - This is a well made small appliance that has lots of attachments. We have owned ours for over 20 years!

If your favorite baker or home cooks are like me and they already have the mixer, you can buy the attachments.  I love my attachment pieces and have used them for years. Here are my favorites and some I home to get. Please note these are affiliate links through Amazon, and at no additional cost to you, I will earn an affiliate fees if you decide to make a purchase.

KitchenAid RVSA Slicer/Shredder Attachment for Stand Mixers - I have this one.  It's great for grating large batches of cheese.  To save money on Parmesan cheese, we would buy a large block of cheese and then grade it ourselves.  We save about two dollars per pound doing it this way. It also creates almost double the volume of cheese. Woo hoo!

KitchenAid KSM1APC Spiralizer Attachment with Peel, Core and Slice - this one looks so cool!  I have the handheld version of making spirals.  This is a great gift for friends and family that love low carb dishes.  I never tried this one before, but it would help me clear clutter if I got this one.

KitchenAid FGA Food Grinder Attachment for Stand Mixers - A food grinder is great if making ground meat. We used it to make hamburgers from scratch instead of buying the prepackaged ones.  To do this, we bought better quality local meat and ran the cubed meat through the grinder.  It worked great. You can also make sausages, but I don't recall if we bought an additional attachment or if it came with it.  Sorry.

KitchenAid KPEX Pasta Excellence Set with 6 Different Attachments - This one looks fun.  I purchased two of these pieces when they were sold separately but this one has all 6 pieces!  It's fun to give to someone who loves making pasta.  It will reduce clutter by eliminating the pasta maker they probably have already.

KitchenAid 1042903482 Food Processor Attachment with Dicing Kit - I saw this one recently.  I don't have it because I have a food processor but this one actually attaches to the mixer.  It gives you all the blades you need too! If my processor goes, I will definitely look for this one.

And this is the one I want to get, New KitchenAid Mixer Pasta Press Stand-Mixer Attachment KPEXTA 6-pc Pasta spag maker  It's new this year and makes my favorite, Rigatoni!  Have to add it to my wish list!  hint, hint!

I hope these attachments give you some gift ideas for your favorite cooks.  It was fun revisiting these attachments and remembering how we used them.  It's giving me some ideas on what to make for upcoming parties I am hosting.

Do you have a KitchenAid Mixer?  How old is it? Do you have any of these attachments?  What is your favorite dish to make with it?  Please share your comments below.

I don't have one, but I used to have a Sunbeam which was similar - I had attachments for making pasta and bread dough, can't remember what else. Eventually I decided it was too heavy and took up too much room and donated it, but I do miss it from time to time.
