Lace cookies are a favorite in our household. The thin, crisp and almost transparent, splendid cookies are exceedingly easy to make. They are delicate and melt in your mouth. The other day, I found my daughter with the tin open eating them while watching a video for school. Oh boy, these are dangerously good.
They look so pretty on a plate of cookies to give as a gift to family members, friends, coworkers, and clients because of the simple ingredients; they are quick to make, and they make a large amount to share with everyone. Here’s how to make them.
Delicate Lace Cookie Recipe
1 1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter melted
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mix oatmeal, sugar, flour and salt in a bowl.
Stir in butter; add egg and vanilla and combine well.
Let get firm (5 minutes at least) away from the oven then removing cookies from parchment paper by bending the parchment paper back away from the cookie.
