Chocolate Chip Yogurt Muffin Recipe

Tailgating is in full swing.  Here is a great Chocolate Chip Yogurt muffin recipe that makes 24 muffins and can be taking to any tailgating party.  Check it out.  My featured ingredient is Chobani® Greek Yogurt‎ plain 0% fat.  

Ingredients:

½ lb butter softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs beat well
2 teaspoon vanilla
10 oz of Chobani® Greek Yogurt‎
4 cups flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon baking soda

Topping and filling:
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon cinnamon
6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips morsels

Instructions:

Cream together sugar and softened butter.

Add the yogurt, beat eggs and vanilla. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, sift together, flour, baking powder, baking soda.

Add to dry mixture to the wet mixture a little at a time.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and chocolate chips.

Add muffin liners to the muffin pan.

Use a small ice cream scooper and place one scoop of batter into each muffin tin liner. With a teaspoon scoop the topping and filing mixture and sprinkle over the batter. Press down with the back of the spoon and then add a few morsels if they are not in there already.

Then add another scoop of batter and with the teaspoon scoop the topping and filing mixture and sprinkle over the batter, press it down with the back of the spoon and add a few morsels if there aren't any on top.

Bake for 20 minutes or under cooked inside with a toothpick.
