French Toast Stars Recipe

When I was a kid, I found that French Toast was my favorite to make and eat.  It was fun to make all different shapes and mix with a variety of toppings. Here's a favorite of mine, French Toast Stars Breakfast recipe you and your kids will enjoy.  The more loaves of bread you have and the larger stars you have, the less waste of bread pieces.  You can even make little circles or stars with the leftover pieces of bread if you want.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of wheat bread - 12 pieces of bread
2 Egg
4 tablespoon Milk 2%
1 Can Cherry filling
3 tablespoon Confectioner sugar (optional)

Instructions:

Get 12 pieces of whole wheat bread.

Using a star cookie cutter that fills out the inside of the bread. Cut out 12 pieces of bread.

Wisk 2 eggs and 4 tablespoon milk together.

Heat the griddle and spray with non-stick spray or butter.

Dip each star into the egg mixture so both sides get coated.

Add to the hot griddle. Repeat until finished. Cook each star and turn over about 2-3 minutes on each side. French Toast stars
